labor day, closed

Our Week: Sept 2-6, 2019

We started this week off CLOSED on Monday for Labor Day! But on Tuesday we jumped right into a fiber install at BT Collins Army Reserve Center. For this customer we installed approximately 600′ of Fiber Optic cable and some HDMI cables with faceplates. We used a wall mounted fiber box for this customer as well. This wall-mount enclosure holds two fiber patch panels. The SC and ST panels hold six strands apiece, for a total of 12 strands, while the LC patch panels hold 12 strands each for a total of 24 strands. Easy to access, this fiber optic cabinet is lockable for added security. It comes with two keys. We also installed an Indoor/Outdoor 3-Panel Fiber Demarcation Box. This is an optical demarcation box designed for use in either indoor or outdoor environments. It is capable of housing up to 36 bulkhead adapters in three 118 LGX compatible adapter plates and comes equipped with a splice tray, which holds up to 36 single fusion splices.
This project took about 2 days to complete.

On Thursday, we headed to Davis, CA to assist with a project for Harrison Construction . This project is at a three-story mixed-use building. We installed (2) CAT5e cables to 46 locations throughout. We spend one day at this project and will return next week after the other contractors complete their portion, before we can terminate and test everything. Photos coming soon!

Ending our week at SCS Engineers! SCS is an employee-owned environmental consulting and construction firm that designs and implements sustainable environmental solutions located in right here in the heart of Sacramento. We installed a few CAT6 drops for this customer in their conference room and mounted a 64” TV. We installed a Lifesize Video Conferencing System so the employees will be able to video chat, and speak to their other SCS locations directly from the conference room desk. SCS will be moving the power up behind the TV (which is why you see the cables zip tied currently, in the photo). Once the electrician comes out, this will look like a floating TV and floating shelf!
