OUR WEEK: JUNE 24-28, 2019

Another great work week here at Workman Communications ?

We started off our week at one of our favorite projects called Summerset! Summerset is a Senior Living Facility located in Lincoln, CA. This project has 2 phases; we are currently still in phase 1 finishing up with wiring for CAT5e, CCTV, Audio and more! ? This week we installed faceplates and outdoor CCTV cameras for the facility. We will be returning to install speakers throughout the whole building, including outdoor patio speakers for the residents. Check our our Construction Cam by clicking here

We also did a simple CAT5 install for Sacramento Hyundai. This customer wanted (1) CAT5 cable for voice from their server room to their shop. Hyundai is a loyal customer of ours, so we were happy to assist.

We returned to a few of our existing customers homes for some diagnoses. We had a customer in Davis who had mentioned her Apple TV was not working properly so we sent Rick out take a look and he found out we needed to fix her All-in-one remote and recalibrate the picture on her TV screen ?. We then sent techs out to Lincoln to diagnose a customers sound bar. They discovered this unit had failed, contacted the warranty department, and now a new one is being shipped to him ?

A few weeks ago we started a new project at Earth Circle Organics. We started on our CAT6 drops, AP locations and surveying for their Access Control and Alarm system. We installed a 19 inch wall mounted rack. This Swing Gate Wall Rack provides easy access to the rear of equipment, making it the ideal choice for supporting patch panels and switches.

We sent techs back out to a project we started last week which is Mathenson Trucking. This project has 3 phases. Last week we finished up the first phase which was wiring for CAT5 cabling. Phase 2 we completed this week, which was the trim out. Next week we will be wrapping it up with cubical routing once all furniture is in place. ? Stay tuned for the final turn out

The techs all went out to a home in El Dorado Hills to do a Home Theater install. We hooked this customer up with the latest home A/V equipment. We installed a Yamaha RX-V485 Receiver. This receiver has 5.1-Channel surround sound, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay, Spotify Connect and MusicCast multi-room. We installed a Yamaha 10in subwoofer inside the customers living room, Apple TV and a KEF sound bar. With this particular sound bar it does not matter whether the system is wall mounted or sitting on a cabinet, when you press play, the KEF soundbar will fill your whole room with the soundtrack and you will be transported into the action. Customer also needed Wi-Fi to be extended throughout the whole house so we installed (2) Eeros. The eero WiFi System replaces the traditional WiFi router, WiFi extender, and internet booster by covering a 2-4 bedroom (each) home with fast and reliable internet powered by a mesh network. Rick programed customers All-in-One remote and techs completed a CAT5 install. This customer is now fully loaded!

Imagine a world where your business operations flow seamlessly, information travels at lightning speed, and connectivity is never a concern. This world exists, and it all revolves around one crucial element: data cabling. Data cabling is the unsung hero of modern business infrastructure, quietly supporting your daily activities and ensuring everything runs smoothly. In this blog, we will delve into the intricacies of data cabling and uncover how it can significantly impact your business. Unveiling the Basics of Data Cabling Data cabling, in its simplest form, is the physical infrastructure that allows data to be transmitted from one device to another within a network. Whether it's through copper cables or fiber optics, the goal remains the same: fast, reliable data transmission. Think of data cabling as the roads and highways of your network, ensuring that information reaches its destination swiftly and accurately. When setting up data cabling for your business, several factors come into play, such as the type of cables to use, the layout of your office space, and future scalability. It's essential to design a cabling system that not only meets your current needs but can also adapt to any future expansions or technology upgrades. Moreover, proper installation and maintenance of data cabling are paramount. A well-organized and neatly arranged cabling infrastructure not only improves network performance but also makes troubleshooting and upgrades much more efficient. Investing in the right cabling setup from the start can save you time, money, and headaches down the line. Enhancing Efficiency Through Structured Cabling Systems Structured cabling systems take data cabling to the next level by providing a comprehensive framework that supports various hardware and services. Unlike traditional point-to-point cabling, structured cabling organizes the network into manageable blocks, making it easier to identify and resolve connectivity issues. With structured cabling, businesses can enjoy higher levels of efficiency and reliability. The standardized approach to cabling design means that additions or changes can be made with minimal disruption to existing operations. This scalability is particularly beneficial for businesses looking to grow and adapt to evolving technological demands. Furthermore, structured cabling simplifies network management by reducing the risk of human error and ensuring consistency across the entire infrastructure. By streamlining connectivity and optimizing signal quality, businesses can operate more smoothly and focus on their core activities without being bogged down by IT complexities. As technology continues to advance, the need for flexible and robust cabling systems becomes increasingly evident. Structured cabling lays the foundation for a future-proof network that can accommodate emerging technologies and innovations, giving your business a competitive edge in a fast-paced digital landscape. The Role of Fiber Optic Cables in Modern Infrastructures Fiber optic cables have revolutionized data transmission by utilizing light signals to transfer data at incredibly high speeds. Compared to traditional copper cabling, fiber optics offer greater bandwidth, longer distances, and enhanced security, making them ideal for businesses with demanding networking requirements. The lightweight and durable nature of fiber optic cables makes them less prone to signal interference and physical damage, ensuring consistent performance and reliability. With the increasing demand for real-time data processing and cloud-based services, fiber optics have become the backbone of modern business infrastructures. Moreover, fiber optic cabling is future-proof, capable of supporting the evolving needs of businesses as technology progresses. Whether it's high-definition video streaming, large data transfers, or remote collaboration, fiber optics provide the speed and stability required to keep pace with the digital demands of today and tomorrow. The Crucial Role of Data Cabling As we wrap up our exploration of data cabling, one thing becomes abundantly clear—data cabling is not just a means to connect your devices; it's the backbone of your entire business infrastructure. From boosting efficiency and reliability to paving the way for future technological advancements, the importance of investing in high-quality data cabling cannot be overstated. So, whether you're setting up a new office or upgrading your existing network, remember that strong data cabling is the foundation upon which your business success is built.
