What is the behind the scenes process after making the initial step of contacting a contractor? Or in our case, a Low Voltage contractor? What can you expect from the initial phone call, or email sent?
When our customers contact us, we take the time to listen to every goal, objective, and requirement of their project. We ask a plethora of questions to ensure that we have as much detail as possible, guaranteeing that nothing gets left out. Asking questions can get tedious, but we want to make sure that when it’s time to facilitate the project, it goes as smoothly as possible. This is also important because the information provided, is relayed back to our technicians so the scope of work is completed as planned.
Whether it’s a commercial or residential project, we’ll typically ask for blueprints and/or a floorplan. These prints allow us to create a ‘design-build’. We initially create the design-build to present to the customer, confirming placement of data cabling, coax cabling, CCTV cameras, Fiber Optics, Access Control, even audio-video! In some cases, we like to pull aerial and / or drone views to assist with trenching or routing of outdoor cabling between multiple buildings.
After we create our design-builds, we work closely with our customer and communicate throughout every step of the process to make sure they are happy with placement, quantities, specs and begin to move forward on finalizing their print and estimate. Once the customer approves of the outlined proposal, we move onto the next phase of ordering all equipment , and scheduling the project once tracking is received. When the installation begins, we keep in contact with the customer, whether they’re on site or not, making sure to go over the scope of work being done, answer any questions along the way, or to communicate any change orders that may be needed.
By the completion of the installation, our technician will train the customer on how to use the equipment efficiently and to the best of its ability, or answer any questions that may arise.

Our Low Voltage technicians are specially trained to diagnose, install and maintain low voltage systems, such as cabling, CCTV wiring, entertainment systems, as well as, wiring for your homes doorbells, thermostats, telephones and more! They are the professionals who come in and get the job done right or the ones who fix a job that might not have been executed correctly the first time. While “Low Voltage” might not seem important, it is the main source of connectivity for all of your communication, networking, and entertainment system needs, which makes that, and your low voltage technician, a pretty big deal.
